Liuli (琉璃) is an ancient Chinese crystal art dating back to the Han Dynasty, revitalized in 1987 through the pâte de verre technique (lost-wax casting). Each piece is hand-sculpted, kiln-fired at 1400 °C (2500 °F), and polished – a twelve-step process that makes each piece unique in color, transparency, and texture.
